The whirlwind is gone but the storm remains.
My long and seemingly never ending fall comes to an abrupt and painful halt as I crash land on the hard wooden deck of an old-fashioned sailing ship.
The whole ship is rolling from one side to the other, and it is hard to keep standing on both feet.
I start rubbing my knee and look around through the pouring rain.
They are all here. Kylie - still holding on to Nigel's one arm - is grabbing the ship's railing with her free hand. Just as I look in their direction a huge wave is boarding the ship making both of them soaking wet.
Claude Sideburns, the man who is not called Burnside and not a professor for archaeology, is leaning forward on his thighs, being sick and getting rid of his breakfast.
Mr. Tumbleweed, the faun, is standing next to him. Standing tall and completely emotion-less and unimpressed by the roaring storm around him.
And falling out of thin air there comes the llama, yelling all happily,
»Hey! I can fly! … You might have seen a house fly, maybe even a super fly, but I bet you ain't never seen a llama fly.«
Maybe a little later I will have to discuss the difference between flying and falling with the animal, I think watching it land on its' back on a pile of ship ropes.
