Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 501 & Part 502

Today is Sunday, the 27th of September 2026.

Twenty-Five, the tawny owl, woke up in the evening and found himself surrounded by the nine little red birds.

Did you notice that we passed the abandoned City of Centralia last week on our journey, our caravan to wherever we are going, wherever you are leading us, Twenty-Five, our leader, our guru? the red birds asked.

Kind of, the owl yawned. Mostly noticed the blocked streets and the smoke. But it looks like we got away unharmed. And I am glad that you did not bring up the name of the city last week. Would have been the first time one of our growing group was giving away one answer to the on-going city-song-quiz.

Weren't you afraid of the Centralia mine fire? the penguins asked.

The what? the chicks wanted to know.

The Centralia mine fire, the nine little red birds said, a coal-seam fire that has been burning in the labyrinth of abandoned coal mines underneath the borough of Centralia, Pennsylvania, United States, since at least May 27, 1962. Its original cause and start date are still a matter of debate. It is burning at depths of up to 300 feet over an 8-mile stretch of 3,700 acres. At its current rate, it could continue to burn for over 250 years. Due to the fire, Centralia was mostly abandoned in the 1980s. There were 1,500 residents at the time the fire is believed to have started, but as of 2017 Centralia has a population of 5 and most of the buildings have been demolished. Our grandmother told us all about it. She used to live there almost sixty years ago, before it got too hot.

Men invented fire, the fourteen speak-no-evil-monkeys exclaimed, and they released it on nature.

I don't think that men invented fire, said the tawny owl, still yawning. They found it and they learned how to use it. But sometimes it gets out of control and cannot be extinguised for over 300 years.

Men are no Gods, they are Devils, exclaiming continued, by the six hear-no-evil-monkeys this time. They do invent and create only things to destroy nature.

Remember what David DeKok wrote in Unseen Danger: A Tragedy of People, Government, and the Centralia Mine Fire in University of Pennsylvania Press, 1986, the twenty-eight see-no-evil-monkeys added, 'This was a world where no human could live, hotter than the planet Mercury, its atmosphere as poisonous as Saturn's. At the heart of the fire, temperatures easily exceeded 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Lethal clouds of carbon monoxide and other gases swirled through the rock chambers.

That sounds like Hell. Don't Devils live in Hell? Aren't men your cousins? the chicks asked the monkeys. Aren't men your family?

But the monkeys had returned to doing what they could do best, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.

Will the Centralia Mine Fire burn our whole world?, all the chicks squeeked all alarmed.

Not tonight, said the fourteen hens trying hard to mother them chicks. And not tomorrow. As it has been for countless years, we will fall asleep tonight and wake up with the rising sun tomorrow.

The Sun, Twenty-Five, the little tawny owl, mumbled to himself, the great ball of fire in the sky. Or as Rumi once said, 'I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.'

And twenty-seven water buffaloes joined the nineteen oxen, the eleven hippopotamuses, the three rhinoceros, the twenty-six deer, the eighteen other horses, the ten leopards, the two more tigers, the twenty-five normal cats, the seventeen more dogs, the nine poodles, the one assistance dog, the twenty-three guide dogs, the fifteen orangutans, the seven gorillas, the thirty thirsty monkeys, the twenty-two dragons, the fourteen hens, the six unicorns, the twenty-eight horses, the twenty zebras, the twelve frogs, the four pandas, the twenty-seven koalas, the twenty bears, the nineteen hares, the eleven hamsters, the three mice, the twenty-three wild boars, the fifteen pigs, the thirty cows, the twenty-two raccoons, the fourteen foxes, the six giraffes, the twenty-nine tigers, the twenty-three lions, the fifteen face-cats, the seven wolves, the thirty dogs, the twenty-two face-monkeys, the fourteen speak-no-evil-monkeys, the six hear-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty-eight see-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty astro-cats, the twelve hipster-cats, the four dragon cats, the twenty-seven hacker cats, the nineteen stunt cats, the eleven ninja-cats, the three pouting cats, the twenty-six crying cats, the eighteen weary cats, the ten kissing cats, the two cats with wry smiles, the twenty-four smiling cats with heart-eyes, the sixteen cats with tears of joy, the eight grinning cats with smiling eyes, the thirty-one grinning cats, the twenty-three spiders, the fifteen scorpions, the seven ladybugs, the twenty-nine bees, the twenty-one ants, the thirty crickets, the twenty-two mosquitoes, the fourteen caterpillars, the six snails, the twenty-six butterflies, the eighteen bats, the ten more chicks, the two chicks, the twenty-five chicks, the seventeen penguins, the nine little red birds, and the one little tawny owl…

"Bromford Is A Woman"

Bromford City spread herself before you
With her bangles and her spangles and her stars
You were impressed with the city so undressed
You had to go out cruising all the bars

Your business trip extended through the weekend
Suburban boy here for your first time
From the 27th floor above the Midtown roar
You were dazzled by her beauty and her crime

And she's every girl you've seen in every movie
Every dame you've ever known on late night TV
In her steam and steel is the passion you feel
Endlessly

Bromford is a woman, she'll make you cry
But to her you're just another guy

Look down and see her ruined places
Smoke and ash still rising to the sky
She's happy that you're here but when you disappear
She won't know that you're gone to say goodbye

And she's every girl you've seen in every movie
Every dame you've ever known on late night TV
In her steam and steel is the passion you feel
Desperately

Bromford is a woman, she'll make you cry
But to her you're just another guy

"Bromford"

I know there is a place for us
I'll find it in between your thighs
Of that I'm sure

Bromford is not far from there
I wish you knew the way to go
But I won't stop

And I can't see you smile
I feel so blind
I close my eyes
And dream of a foreign tide
Then dive

The words once told by Critias
Breathe through the walls
Of this undersea passageway

The Utopia becomes a song
The whispered sounds that led me on
Turn loud and strong

Cause when I close my eyes
The water thrives
My teardrops dry
I can feel I'm close to your heart
This time

The waves they come to me
The waves they flow with me
They come to take me down

Will I ever reach the light?
Will it be easy to survive this tide?
Or woll I have to drown for the rest of my life?

If I could then I would
And I'd love you for all time
I love you for all time

For many years I've been so lost
And now I have the chance to find
Uncharted sands

The drowned ones sing victorious
As I'm about to join them in demersal grounds

And I still have no plan for the way out
I close my eyes
And dream of your foreign tide
Then dive

Full Corn Moon … / Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 499 & Part 500

Full Corn Moon

I'm so tired of being alone
These penitent walls are all I've known
The songbird calling
Across the water
Outside my silent asylum

Oh, don't leave me on my own
Left me standing all alone

So cut me down to size
So I can fit inside
Lies that will divide
Us both in time

See the turncoat on his knees
The vagabond that no one sees
When that MOON stole your shadows
When you can't save the ones you caught in battle

🔷 🔷 🔷

Today is Saturday, the 26th of September 2026
Full Corn Moon

»How old do you have to become to see your 500th full moon?« Twenty-Five, the tawny owl wondered. »Older than an average owl's life?«

But maybe today we are celebrating the 500th of something completely different.

»My caravan is waiting for me,« the tawny owl sighed and took off into another evening.

"Bromford Girl"

The devil MOON took me through the alley
Down by the Kardomah and the Centrale
To the Mews running through the backstreets
Where the Blacks sold fire and sleep
The devil MOON took me out of Soho
Up to Camden where the cold north winds blow
Sucked along by a winter shower
To stand beside your shining tower

This could be our final dance
This could be our very last chance
Just the sound of your voice
Wherever I may be changes everything
And then the world's right with me
You're my Bromford girl
The way that you walk
You're my Bromford girl
The way that you talk
Just the sound of your voice
And I ain't got no choice

The light was going out, the MOON was dying
The night was turning to a fine Spring morning
The dogs were barking and the kids were shouting
The sun was splashing in a crystal fountain
When the cold winds come to find you
Blowing down from the top of the high rise
I'll come and take you back down to Soho
Away from all those mad men's eyes

This could be our final dance
This could be our very last chance
And if you cut me
Don't you think I feel
Is this body made of clay
Is this heart made of steel
You're my Bromford girl
The way that you walk
You're my Bromford girl
The way that you talk
Just the sound of your voice
I ain't got no choice

This could be our final dance
This could be our very last chance

"Bromford"

Your multilingual business friend
Has packed her bags and fled
Leaving only ash-filled ashtrays
And the lipstick, unmade bed
The mirror, on reflection
Has climbed back upon the wall
For the floor she found descended
And the ceiling was too tall

Your trouser cuffs are dirty
And your shoes are laced up wrong
You'd better take off your Bromford
'Cause your overcoat is too long

Town clock in the market square
Stands waiting for the hour
When its hands they both turn backward
And on meeting will devour
Both themselves and also any fool
Who dares to tell the time
And the sun and MOON will shadow
And the signpost cease to sign

Your trouser cuffs are dirty
And your shoes are laced up wrong
You'd better take off your Bromford
'Cause your overcoat is too long

Your trouser cuffs are dirty
And your shoes are laced up wrong
You'd better take off your Bromford
'Cause your overcoat is too long
Oh, your trouser cuffs are dirty
And your shoes are laced up wrong
You'd better take off your Bromford
'Cause your overcoat is too long

Your trouser cuffs are dirty...

Bon Automne, Bon Automne … / Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 497 & Part 498

Today is Wednesday, the 23rd of September 2026.
Bon Automne, Bon Automne …

Seasons in the sands, Twenty-Five, the little tawny owl thinks, are running through my hands. Except I am an owl, and I don't have hands. Time is still slipping away, like sand through a hourglass. Still feeling down when the autumn has come …

"Midnight In Bromford"

There's a whole lot of magic
When you're in Bromford
And I swear I've never seen
So many pretty women go by
And I can't stop from dancing
I'm spinning 'round like a clock
That's wound up too tight
I want to tell you 'bout all I see

Stars in my eyes that you would not believe
I'm a little funky wearin' out my shoes
Don't mean anything unless I'm dancin' with you
Midnight, midnight in Bromford
Midnight, midnight in Bromford

Donne mois ta main
Si je viens de loin
Je n'ai pas de remors te vouloir
Et te dsirer
Si je viens de loin
Moi je prux te parler de ma musique
Et parle moi de toi
Si tu veux me dire un jour bon quelque chose
J'ouvre un autre cot de ma vie et tu dpose
Si tu veux te sentir un moment comme moi
Tu regarde moi quand je danse avec toi

Midnight, midnight in Bromford
Midnight, midnight in Bromford

Well, we'll have another bottle
Monsieur Luigi
So we can toast the AUTUMN
Since it's all around
And I'll always remember
Singing in the park
When the rain
Came down
I want to tell you 'bout all I see

Stars in my eyes that you would not believe
I'm a little funky wearin' out my shoes
Don't mean anything unless I'm dancin' with you
Midnight, midnight in Bromford
Midnight, midnight in Bromford

"Bromford And The Slipping Of The Sun"

If you have any checked bags, they will be brought to the front of the station
To get to the front, walk down to the south end of the platform and cross left at the crosswalk
That′ll put you right in front of the depot
Look for a sign that says "Baggage Claim"
You should have your claim check handy to show the clerk
Give them a few minutes to get your bags to the front

If anyone is in need of a ride to the front of the station
Red Cap service will be provided on the platform
We do have one group that is going to go first
If you do need Red Cap service to arrive at the front
They will come back and pick you up on the platform and take you to the front of the station
Taxi cabs are located on the center boulevard in front of the depot

Bromford
Oh, ocean now, I come again before you
Rode along with you
In the slipping of the sun
Sun on dreamers
Repeat the faithful once again
Like water on the mountains, that
It's the slipping of the sun

Money is blank
Three days to go
This AUTUMN begins to focus
North claims the imperial throne totem
Fantastic
Dreams, lakes
Mountains
Fantastic

Ghosttown … Part 2

I nearly lost my sense of balance because I nearly lost my ears. I didn't lose another year, just another ear because of the big bang right next to it. Am I Vincent van Gogh?

Bromford is as quiet and empty as it has been over the last few days.

The blinding sunshine has disappeared. Instead, a humid warmth now hangs over the city, and fog and rain have returned. It isn’t autumn weather just yet, but something is brewing. And above it all is this unnatural silence. Are there really other people around me, or am I stranded in a ghost town once again? Are those really a real trombone and an actual piano sending their fragments of sound through the night? Perhaps they are just endless loops again, generated by a cruel and misanthropic computer trying to drive me insane with its programming.

Romeo and Juliet are not doing well.

And no trace of a llama anywhere.

Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 495 & Part 496

Today is Saturday, the 19th of September 2026.

If rhinoceros become hippopotamuses when they lose their horns, the nineteen stunt cats wanted to know, what do unicorns become when they lose theirs?

Who says rhinoceros become hippopotamuses when they lose their horns?, the tawny owl asked confused. I think that never happened before.

The thirty-one grinning cats said that, said the nineteen stunt cats, and we always believe what the thirty-one grinning cats say. Otherwise they would not be grinning.

Can oxen do bullfights?, out of the blue the grinning cats wanted to know, but they were only asking for the twelve hipster-cats, as they later admitted, after all the cats broke into a weird and annoying song.

There must have been something in their water or in their catnip, the tawny owl thought, or as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, 'We do not have to visit a madhouse to find disordered minds; our planet is the mental institution of the universe'. And I think unicorns become white mares when they lose their horns.

And nineteen oxen joined the eleven hippopotamuses, the three rhinoceros, the twenty-six deer, the eighteen other horses, the ten leopards, the two more tigers, the twenty-five normal cats, the seventeen more dogs, the nine poodles, the one assistance dog, the twenty-three guide dogs, the fifteen orangutans, the seven gorillas, the thirty thirsty monkeys, the twenty-two dragons, the fourteen hens, the six unicorns, the twenty-eight horses, the twenty zebras, the twelve frogs, the four pandas, the twenty-seven koalas, the twenty bears, the nineteen hares, the eleven hamsters, the three mice, the twenty-three wild boars, the fifteen pigs, the thirty cows, the twenty-two raccoons, the fourteen foxes, the six giraffes, the twenty-nine tigers, the twenty-three lions, the fifteen face-cats, the seven wolves, the thirty dogs, the twenty-two face-monkeys, the fourteen speak-no-evil-monkeys, the six hear-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty-eight see-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty astro-cats, the twelve hipster-cats, the four dragon cats, the twenty-seven hacker cats, the nineteen stunt cats, the eleven ninja-cats, the three pouting cats, the twenty-six crying cats, the eighteen weary cats, the ten kissing cats, the two cats with wry smiles, the twenty-four smiling cats with heart-eyes, the sixteen cats with tears of joy, the eight grinning cats with smiling eyes, the thirty-one grinning cats, the twenty-three spiders, the fifteen scorpions, the seven ladybugs, the twenty-nine bees, the twenty-one ants, the thirty crickets, the twenty-two mosquitoes, the fourteen caterpillars, the six snails, the twenty-six butterflies, the eighteen bats, the ten more chicks, the two chicks, the twenty-five chicks, the seventeen penguins, the nine little red birds, and the one little tawny owl…

"Bromford"

I offer myself to you
Though I am a broken thing
A cardinal with severed wing

In morning to hide my face
Though I am a sunderer
Guised in maternal grace

Heir to a crippled ground
My little Elysium
My god how I've let you down

Let me fall
Through the ground
Where you fell
Back to you

We burn like Bromford
Lost in the ash below
Hoping to find a home

So far may you run from me
To cities with living leaves
No fire to fear beneath

"Song For Bromford"

I′m gonna write you a song
For Bromford's dawn
For Bromford′s dawn
The rosy fingered one
Rosy fingered one

I'll have to ride a white swan
When Bromford's gone
When Bromford′s gone
Riding on and on and on and on

The 20th. Century boy
He′s just a blow up toy
Just a blow up toy, the 20th. Century boy
Just a blow up toy

You can give hot love
With a soft kid glove
With a leather glove
With a leather glove, black leather glove

Are you a Cosmic Dancer
Or just a Necromancer?
Necromancing, cosmic dancing
Necromancing

In the Melba Sun
You're the peachy one
Come on

Well there′s a wildness in you
And you're an untamed youth
With your rosy fingered dawn
And the blues in your shoes

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I′ll be a revolution machine

I'm a labourer of love
In my Persian gloves
I′m a two penny prince
I'll give you all my love
For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I'll be a revolution machine

I′m gonna hang my head
In the valley of rain
I′m gonna charge like a ram
I'm gonna fly like a plane

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I′ll be a revolution machine

Well Telegram Sam
With a frog in her hand
It ain't no use
Like Dr. Seuss it ain′t no use

Life's a gas
But we know it won′t last
We know it won't last but life's a blast
Life′s a blast

And that revolution
Is circumlocution
You won′t fool me
You won't fool me, you don′t fool me

My American Woman
With a wand in her hand
With a wand in her hand
A wand in her hand a wandering the land

My Mystic Lady
Well she drives me crazy

Drives me crazy
Mystic Lady, lipstick baby

And my Planet Queen
Has orbital dreams

I have a wildness for you
And a powder keg leg
Gonna catch a bright star
And place it on your head

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I'll be a revolution machine

Your lips are like lightning
And my heart′s all pain
Well, you can tear a plane
In the crocodile rain

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I'll be a revolution machine

Now I′m all alone
Without a telephone
Give me the remote
I'll turn it on

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I'll be a revolution machine

Well you slide so good
With your bones so fair
Just sitting there
In your discipline chair

For my Bromford, my Planet Queen
I′ll be a revolution machine
I′ll be a revolution machine

Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 493 & Part 494

Today is Friday, the 11th of September 2026.

Paradise is a ghost town in Queensland, Australia, now inundated by Lake Paradise, Twenty-Five the tawny owl sighed.

Are you thinking about paradise?, asked the assistance dog. And if so, why?

We have heard a song called Gangsta's Paradise, the twenty-seven hacker cats whispered with a mischievous grin.

Shhhhh, the owl shushed them. Too many cities and places, too many songs. Too many combinations of both.

After War and Stone we are ignoring Paradise, now?, asked the guide dogs.

It is like it is, Twenty-Five said vaguely. And Jorge Luis Borges said, 'I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.'

And eleven hippopotamuses joined the three rhinoceros, the twenty-six deer, the eighteen other horses, the ten leopards, the two more tigers, the twenty-five normal cats, the seventeen more dogs, the nine poodles, the one assistance dog, the twenty-three guide dogs, the fifteen orangutans, the seven gorillas, the thirty thirsty monkeys, the twenty-two dragons, the fourteen hens, the six unicorns, the twenty-eight horses, the twenty zebras, the twelve frogs, the four pandas, the twenty-seven koalas, the twenty bears, the nineteen hares, the eleven hamsters, the three mice, the twenty-three wild boars, the fifteen pigs, the thirty cows, the twenty-two raccoons, the fourteen foxes, the six giraffes, the twenty-nine tigers, the twenty-three lions, the fifteen face-cats, the seven wolves, the thirty dogs, the twenty-two face-monkeys, the fourteen speak-no-evil-monkeys, the six hear-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty-eight see-no-evil-monkeys, the twenty astro-cats, the twelve hipster-cats, the four dragon cats, the twenty-seven hacker cats, the nineteen stunt cats, the eleven ninja-cats, the three pouting cats, the twenty-six crying cats, the eighteen weary cats, the ten kissing cats, the two cats with wry smiles, the twenty-four smiling cats with heart-eyes, the sixteen cats with tears of joy, the eight grinning cats with smiling eyes, the thirty-one grinning cats, the twenty-three spiders, the fifteen scorpions, the seven ladybugs, the twenty-nine bees, the twenty-one ants, the thirty crickets, the twenty-two mosquitoes, the fourteen caterpillars, the six snails, the twenty-six butterflies, the eighteen bats, the ten more chicks, the two chicks, the twenty-five chicks, the seventeen penguins, the nine little red birds, and the one little tawny owl…

"Bromford Baby"

Yeah, Bromford, baby
Alright
Uh-huh
Oh yeah, Bromford, baby
Alright

Oh, we're in Bromford, baby, we're shakin' and lazy
We're ridin' up in the clouds tonight
And we dive to the bottom of the ocean
I wear a yellow submarine that rolls us deep into the night
Oh, I'm sick in the head, I haven't been to bed
'Cause that little kid came and took me away
Oh, she got them honey bones and she's meltin' me down
As she moves across the floor, my heart falls heavy to the ground, baby

They only believе me when I'm tellin' liеs
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes
Yeah, their Friday eyes (Uh-uh)
They only believe me when I'm tellin' lies (Alright)
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes (Alright, alright)
Yeah, their Friday eyes

Yeah, we hit the beach with a cool carton of cold ones
And we're rollin' with our friend Mary Jane
I look over and I see it groovin'
To the tunes as you lower your shades
I love the way you move, my little gun-slingin' girl
I love the way you're proper funkin' on my world
I see the palm trees swayin' back and forth
I got that lovesick thing rollin' 'round my brain, baby

They only believe me when I'm tellin' lies
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes
Yeah, their Friday eyes (Uh-huh)
They only believe me when I'm tellin' lies (Alright)
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes (Alright, alright)
Yeah, their Friday eyes

They only believe me when I'm tellin' lies
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes
Yeah, their Friday eyes (Uh-huh)
They only believe me when I'm tellin' lies (Alright)
When I'm tellin' lies (Yeah, Bromford, baby)
They're lookin' at me like it's Tuesday with their Friday eyes (Alright, alright)
Yeah, their Friday eyes

Nights!

"Oh, Bromford"

Oh, me
Oh, my
In your arms I'm not alone
We all need family walkin' around Bromford

Some folks, they get nervous when they hear of a change
Some people, they put their faith in Jesus
Some girls make big mistakes
and fall for boys that dream
But that ain't so obscene to me

Oh, me
Oh, my
In your arms I'm not alone
We all need family walkin' around Bromford

This lane, it lets everyone in
so take your place
my well's full of wishes that I can't keep
you caught me thinking
that you would still love me
imagine how we'd sing, oh the sound

Oh, my
Oh, my
in your arms I'm not alone
we all need family walkin' around Bromford

Sloppiness !!! … Part 2

The blog is barely a week old, and Bromford Bibble is already starting to slack off - simply skipping a whole day, letting an entire Saturday pass without blogging. Maybe the world will end on a Sunday after all, following a Saturday where it had to live without intelligent posts from Bromford Bibble?

But as it seems, I’m still blogging under the complete exclusion of the world public for my own purely private amusement, so nobody will care that I haven't shown any sign of life for an entire day. The internet is and remains the most public place in the world - the largest community in the world - which, at the same time, totally lonelinesses and isolates its members. Someone should write a scientific paper about it.

Note to self: End the experiment with the fish; instead, view the internet as a goldfish bowl and write a doctoral thesis on it. Yes, I think that's the best idea I've had in years. That, and my plans for world domination.

And no trace of a llama anywhere.

Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 491 & Part 492

Today is Thursday, the 3rd of September 2026.

A circle of stones on the head of the hill.
Tonight is when it will be.

Is that the beginning of an African saying? asked the poodles.

Not that I knew, answered the tawny owl. Why are you asking?

Because of our latest guests, answered the poodles , the great grey ones over there.

Elefants? asked all twenty-five normal cats.

Rhinoceros, said three rhinoceros.

Nice to meet you, African cousins, whispered the six unicorns.

Elegance runs in the family, bellowed the rhinos.

And what about the circle of stones on the head of the hill and tonight? asked one of the leopards.

We will never know, sighed Twenty-Five, the little tawny owl, but Jim Morrison said, 'If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it’s to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel.'

The Doors of Perception, twenty-six deer nodded knowingly.

"Last Train From Bromford"

There's a last train from Bromford
Bromford
Bromford
Last train from Bromford
See how the platform is heaving

Who's on that train from Bromford
Bromford
Bromford
Who's on that train from Bromford?
All of humanity fleeing

I heard God himself
Was on the last train from Bromford
From Bromford
God himself was on the last train
Frightened by all he was seeing

There's a last train from Bromford
Bromford
Bromford
There's a last train from Bromford
All of humanity grieving

"Saint Bromford"

Her fingers are in Ávila‎
Her jawbone is in Rome
Saint Bromford
With your body in different places
You truly are without a home

Breathe for me
Breathe for me
Breathe for me now
I said reach for me
Reach for me
Reach for me
Reach for me now
So without a home
You go on, on, on
On your way

We saw too much violence
And we saw the decay
I looked for some guidance
Yesterday
Ten times a day

Dream for me
Would you dream for me
Dream for
Dream for me now
Oh would you steal for me
Would you steal for me
Everything's turned upside down
There's beauty in silence
There's beauty inside of the pain
Inside the pain
So without a home
You go on, on, on
On your way

We saw too much violence
And we lost a decade
I looked for some guidance
Yesterday
Her beauty's in silence
And the truths in her face
I looked for her guidance
Yesterday
Ten times a day

Her fingers are in Ávila‎
Her jawbone is in Rome

Tuesday … Part 2

I'm too tired to type anything.

Swing-time is good time, good time is better time...

And no trace of a llama anywhere.

📛

Today is Tuesday, the 1st of September 2026.
