And the creepy pig skeleton prowls around the house
and spies out the weakest victims.
Oh horror!
Didn't it start just like that in Stephen King's THE STAND? Everyone thought it was a harmless sniffle, and in the end, half of humanity, if not more, was wiped out. And what can the poor little snouts do about it?
FREEDOM FOR THE SWINES! DOWN WITH THE SWINE FLU! FREEDOM FOR THE SWINES! DOWN WITH THE SWINE FLU! FREEDOM FOR THE SWINES! DOWN WITH THE SWINE FLU! FREEDOM FOR THE SWINES! DOWN WITH THE SWINE FLU! FREEDOM FOR THE SWINES! DOWN WITH THE SWINE FLU!
And then this tragedy:
There were two black fish,
Who loved each other so much,
They couldn't get together,
: The water was far too deep. :
Yet, no, the tragedy hidden behind it is a far more tragic one:
1. There were two king's children,
They loved each other so much
They couldn't come together
: The water was too deep. :
2. Oh dearest, canst thou swim?
Then do swim to me!
I want to light two candles
: And they should shine for thee. :
3. That one heard a deceitful nun
Who pretended to be asleep;
She put out the candles,
: The boy drowned down in the deep. :
4. It was on a Sunday morning
The people were all so glad
The king's daughter wasn't,
: She was looking inside herself. :
5. Oh mother, dearest mother,
My head hurts so much;
I want to go for a walk
: Probably to the green sea. :
6. The mother went to church
The daughter kept going her way;
She walked so long,
: Until she found a fisherman. :
7. Oh fisherman, dearest fisherman,
Doest thou want to earn big wages,
Then throw thy net in the water
: And fish out the king's son for me. :
8. He threw the net into the water
It went to the bottom;
The first fish he catches
: That was the king's son. :
…
10. She took him in her arms
And kissed his dead mouth:
"Oh mouth, couldst thou speak
: So my young heart would be healed. :
11. She swung her coat around her
And jumped deep into the sea:
"Good night, my father and mother,
: You'll never see me anymore. :
12. One can hear little bells ringing,
And one can hear misery and sorrow;
Here lie two king's children,
: Who are both dead. :
...as the German folk song knows.
And no trace of a llama anywhere.
