There is no present. Every moment passes within less than the blink of an eye and becomes past within less than a moment. The future is past without a present.

The doorbell chimes. Yes, I have learned that my doorbell does not ring, it chimes.

Outside the door to our penthouse on the rooftop of the apartment house on 666 Whitaker Lane in Bromford, the friendly town by the bay and seaside, sometimes also known as the friendly town by the shore and seaside, stands a nice black and white couple.

'Hello,' they say in unison. 'We are Zoey and Zachary Zebra and we are here because of the number.'

'Good', I say. 'The more the happier.'

And without any further words I let them wait outside the door for a short time.
