On the third day after their encounter with Dora, the mighty and magnificent witch and sorceress, near the City of Earth and on the third day of their walking journey home to Bromford, the friendly town by the bay and seaside which luckily was also located in the High Mountains the wind whistled a triumphant fanfare on Bromford's staff flute.
'Animal', the bard said to the llama, 'I have been thinking about Dora of Wye and those mysterious words she spoke to me a lot. I think those words were from the ancient language of Latin and maybe no spell at all. And now I kind of regret that I never took lessons in Latin and that I was not able to understand what she said.'
'But your face…', the llama made another attempt to express some kind of shock about Bromford's appearance.
'Let go off my face', the bard said. 'Did you ever wonder what this colour of time might be that Dora of Wye and her coven were searching for in the longest night of the year? That night was yesterday. I wonder if she and her convent ever found it - la couleur du temps. Another one of those Latin phrases I am not able to translate.'
'And your long and pointed ears are back', the animal screamed silently inside its head. 'Can't you see them when you wash your face in the morning?'
But the bard was singing another song, something about scorching and wasting and daring.

Fourth Sunday of Advent
"Tales Of A Scorched Bromford"
Farewell, goodnight, last one out turn out the lights
And let me be, let me die inside
Let me know the way through this world of hate in you
'Cause the die is cast and the bitch is back
And we're all dead, yeah, we're all dead
Inside the future of a shattered past
Yeah, yeah, I'd lie just to be real
And I'd die just to feel
Why do the same old things keep on happening?
'Cause beyond my hopes, there are no feelings, yeah
Bless the martyrs and kiss the kids
For knowing better, for knowing this
'Cause you're all whores and I'm a fag
And I've got no mother and I've got no dad
To save me from the wasted, save me from myself
Yeah, yeah, I'd lie just to be real
And I'd die just to feel
Why do the same old things keep on happening?
'Cause beyond my hopes there are no feelings, no
If I believe, if I deceive, if I defend you now that way
Would you believe, could you receive, could you have faith?
No one is, is ever gone
And time is everything and I have none
Everyone's lost just waitin' to be found
And everyone's a thought just waitin' to fade
So fuck it all, 'cause I don't care
So what, somehow, somewhere we dared
To try to dare, to dare for a little more
Yeah, yeah, I'd lie just to be real
And I'd die just to feel
Why do the same old things keep on happening?
'Cause beyond my hopes, there are no feelings, yeah
