'So', the llama asks cautiously, 'will you let me stay in your penthouse?'

'I think so', I say. 'You kind of belong to the furniture. I would miss you like I would miss the kitchen table if it was gone.'

'Well, okay', the llama says with an awkward look. 'Back to Happy Rotter and the Secret of Time?'

I just nod.

'After they escaped…'

'Would have escaped…'

'After they would have escaped the giant animals Happy and Hormonie would have met this Chewing Pacca?' the animal asks.

'No', I say, 'Chewing Pacca was never part of the original draft. It was just that I discovered a certain resemblance to that Gamestealer Cockpit of Pigletspots School for Thievery and Burglary that I thought Happy could mistake him like he would have mistaken other ones for some other ones.'

'Okay', the llama says, 'sound mysterious.'

'I don't know if I told this before', I say, 'but next they would have met Gundolf, the Wizard. Happy would have mistaken him for Professor Mumblemore, the headmaster of Pigletspots, and after that they would have met or at least seen Dodo, Gundolf's companion. Hormonie would have got lost on their journey at some point but I do not remember when exactly that would have been. And after all this would have been only a short episode because the T.A.R.D.I.S. would have dragged Happy away in no time.'

'To a better place?' the llama asks.

'Who knows?'

Shrugging is all there's left to do for today.
