Pink Moon … / Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 433 & Part 434

Pink Moon

I'm so tired of being alone
These penitent walls are all I've known
The songbird calling
Across the water

Today is Thursday, the 2nd of April 2026.
Pink Moon

The night is dark and full of shadows…

'How can it be dark under a full moon?' Twenty-Five, the tawny owl, wondered. 'Under a Pink Moon? And why is there a city song quiz so soon?'

'We will not stop until every day of the week will be city-song-quiz-day. And we are starting with our self-proclaimed holidays such as full moons or season starts. Did we not celebrate Groundhog Day? When will be start celebrating Saint Patrick's Day? Is there a Green Moon that is not orbiting the planet of Endor?' a mindless voice announced.

'Why must I think about those koalas when I think about the forest moon of Endor?' the tawny owl asked himself.

'It's time to wake up, owl!' the mindless voice announced. 'WAKE UP!'

🌕🌕

"Old Bromford"

When you're walking in old Bromford
Lanterns under the night sky
See the MOON begin to rise
Just like it did back home

Old men smoking in cafes
Junk boats floating in the bay
Think of me when you're away
In old Bromford

With no ties, with no plans
Your last dollar in your hands
Take a picture and send it back
To someone you used to know

Things will always find their way
From the backroads to the bay
There's more to do than there is to say
In old Bromford

With no ties, with no plans
Your last dollar in your hands
Take a picture and send it back
To someone you used to know

"Kashka From Bromford"

Kashka from Bromford
Lives in sin, they say
With another man
But no one knows who

Old friends never call there
Some wonder if life's
Inside at all
If there's life inside at all

But we know the lady who rents the room
She catches them calling a la lune

At night
They're seen
Laughing
Loving
They know
The way
To be
Happy

They never go for walks
Maybe it's because
The MOON's not bright enough
There's light in love, you see

I watch their shadows
Tall and slim
In the window opposite
I long to be with them

'Cause when all the alley-cats come out
I can hear music from Kashka's house

At night
They're seen
Laughing
Loving
They know
The way
To be
Happy

Watching every night
Don't you know they're seen?
Won't you let me laugh?
Let me in your love
Watching every night
Don't you know they're seen?
Won't you let me laugh?
Let me in your love
Watching every night
Don't you know they're seen?
Won't you let me laugh?
Let me in your love
Watching every night
Don't you know they're seen?
Won't you let me laugh?
