Two-thousand-eighteen Shades Of Bromford - Part 314 & Part 315

Today is Wednesday, the 9th of October 2024.

I couldn't avoid overhearing your conversation with that lame duck earlier,
the turkey said to the rooster. I have got to know these humans, especially
those in Northern America. And since we are getting close to that time of
year, to that season when my featherly species is in especially grave danger
of becoming main course of festive banquets I gobbled to ask myself if you,
dear rooster, could tell me where I could attent the next meeting of that SLAS
you mentioned earlier.

SLAS? asked the rooster. I don't remember what an SLAS is. Don't broil me,
I am only a chicken with a brain the size of a pea. And a few minutes ago I
have met a nice, fat man with a dirty and stained white apron. He invited me to his
tanning salon, to get... well... a little tan. And I think that is exactly what I need now
the days are getting shorter and it is getting colder outside. Please excuse me...

And off he went and the turkey flinched back its head in utterly dismay
gobbling the gobbliest of all gobbles.
