There's a box I put in the middle of the floor in my room. I'm not supposed to open it until midnight. But I can hear a ticking sound from inside.

Es ist eine mittelgroße, fast quadratische Kiste, braun von außen, pappkartonbraun eben, ein ganz gewöhnliches Päckchen, das mich heute mit der Post erreichte. Ich kenne den Absender nicht, und langsam beunruhigt mich das Ticken zunehmend. Ein Wecker? Eine Wanduhr? EINE BOMBE? Und Mitternacht kommt näher und näher. Was werde ich finden? Drähte? Sprengsätze? Und dabei ist morgen so ein schöner Tag. Manchmal schleicht sich die Nacht aus unerwarteten Richtungen in unser Leben.
